i stumbled upon this artist, jen stark, on realitycarnival.com and wow, her stuff is just so cool! this sounds dorky, but i've always admired all the different colored cardstocks when they were placed together in their rainbow arrangements. i can't even imagine the time she had to put into these pieces. i wonder how many times she touches a ruler or an x-acto blade when making these things. NUTS!
usually, with such a distinct style like that, i seem to lose interest in an artist or their work; but it's obvious that she strives to push her creativity farther and farther. she wins!
i'm almost 100% certain that i'm getting a new apartment very, very soon! caitlin and i are supposed to meet the landlady at 5:30 tomorrow afternoon, to sign the lease. i don't feel like explaining it all now, especially since it's not quite mine yet, but wow... i honestly could not ask for more! it seems to be perfect. hopefully everything is what it seems. :D |
