it's true!
saturday was the zombie walk. it was my mid-term for time studio (how cool is that). basically, about 200ish kids/adults/children showed up, in zombie attire. when i told sam about the assignment, he was really excited and eager to join me in my lurching about in carytown. we went with the theme "sonny and cher". i'm not quite sure if we looked like them, but we did look like we were from the late 60's... which is cool enough!
for about three days before the walk, my living room was a complete mess. making flesh and zombie costumes takes a lot of time, effort, and random materials. kroger plastic bags, taco bell napkins, sobo glue, liquid latex, and my microwave was our most successful recipe.
i took some photos of my costume at the apartment and caitlin met up with us in carytown and took a bunch more. ( lots of zombies!! )

so, along with the zombie walk, i'm also filming a zombie movie for the same class. i am the director of photography. it's super fun, but it's also kind of stressful. it evens out. gabriel has let me borrow his amazing video camera, and i looooove filming with it! basically, my job is to create the composition of the set, do the lighting... overall, i create the image on screen. so if the movie LOOKS like shit, it's my fault. haha. it's really hard to get 18 or so people together at one time. and it's even harder to keep them from being distracted, and actually getting work done. we will figure out a way, i hope. we are filming in class tomorrow, so i'm thinking we will probably get at least 20 more minutes worth of footage. when it's all done, we're going to each get DVDs of our movie (aww). i'm excited.
