i had such a great drawing class tonight.
it's a still from this 1960's japanese horror movie called omibaba? onibaba? i'm sure i'm messing up the spelling.
either way, this is like... the best drawing i've done in class so far! so i'm sharing it with YOU.
i got out of studio early... and around 8:40 or so, a piercing siren goes off in the apartment. annie and i were like "wtf", so we ran to the door and looked in the hallway... and all of our neighbors were doing the same thing. frantically, i opened my closet door, pulled out the cat carrier, and threw hobo in it. but we couldn't find babycat!! she was hiding under the sofa. i grabbed an arm and pulled her out. threw her in the crate, too. i felt so bad, they were terrified by the noise and what was going on. but they handled it so well.
so, in honor of the Noble Hobo and... uh... Babycat:
the weirdest thing is, up at NYU, gabe's dorm had a fire alarm go off tonight, too.
and i get to see him tomorrow!!!
it's been 2 weeks. :(
but it hasn't been so bad.
but morning/afternoon/evening until 1am IS. i have so much work to do.
i finished my paper that was due monday.
i have a drawing midterm on tuesday. i have to gather all of my previous drawings, make them presentable, get them in order, and put them in a portfolio. theeeeen, i have to do 3 charcoal drawings in value. they're going to take like... 3 hours each, which really sucks. and i have to do well on them. 'cause... yeah. i've fucked up in that class, project-wise.
theeeeen, i have to finish that storyboard (with the chicken) that i have been working on. it was due on wednesday, but since basically only one girl finished the 150 panels on time, we have an extension (but we are all starting off with a 90), and that's due on monday. i have 50 so far. sooooo, i gotta start splitting them up! tomorrow! eek!
enough talk about work.
i need to go to sleep, so i can actually DO work.
